When people step foot in Ireland, one common reaction abounds: ‘I can’t believe it’s so green’. Makes sense then, that the island also has some of the most amazing gardens lovers of all things floral. Our itinerary moves around quite a few counties in the south east and west of the island. Accommodation and amenities throughout these areas are fine-tuned for either groups or individuals.
This is a looped/circular tour that begins and ends in Dublin City. Dublin is easily accessed by its international airport or by ferry to Dublin or Dun Laoghaire ports. Additionally, the gardens are happily accessible from Rosslare Port in Wexford.

On this tour you will visit the following gardens:
Huntington Castle and Gardens, County Carlow
There’s a regal air about Huntington Castle’s gardens. Immaculate lawns are drawn along mathematical lines, while manicured topiary is matched by classical sculpture.
Lisselan Gardens, West Cork
An overnight at Cork City means just a short trip to Lisselan Gardens in Clonakilty. Classical statuary, a healthy scattering of daffodils and camellias blooming from late spring set Lisselan apart as something unique.
Killarney National Park, County Kerry
The Rhododendron flowers that coddles Muckross House in Killarney National Park is in fact a weed, but as you watch its pink march up the surrounding mountains you simply won’t care.
Kylemore Abbey Gardens, Connemara
After an overnight in the heritage town of Adare, move upwards to Galway and Connemara.
The Japanese Gardens, County Kildare
The Rhododendron flowers that coddles Muckross House in Killarney National Park (Colonel William Walker is the man who’s deep belief in the meaning behind Asian horticulture has endowed County Kildare with the Japanese Gardens.
