Day 1: Arrive into Belfast International Airport and collect rental car.   Explore Belfast city and enjoy a visit to Titanic Belfast,  paying tribute to the legendary Titanic in every possible way; it is even the same height as the ship. One step inside this museum and you are transported back in time with the shipyard ride or a trip underwater to the burial site of the Titanic. If you’re feeling energetic, take the time to also do the Titanic Walking Tour.   Overnight Belfast.

Day 2: Continue exploring Belfast on a Black Cab Tour, an escorted tour of Greater Belfast’s historical sites, tours can include the many political murals, Crumlin Road Jail, City Hall and the National Trust owned Crown Liquor Saloon.   You may wish to venture out of Belfast in the afternoon, to explore the area surrounding Strangford Lough, with an optional visit to Mount Stewart House and Garden.   Overnight Belfast.

Day 3: Travelling north from Belfast via the Antrim coastal route, you may wish to visit Carrickfergus Caste on the north shore of Belfast Lough.  Besieged in turn by the Scots, Irish, English and French, the castle played an important military role until 1928 and remains one of the best preserved structures in Northern Ireland.   The Antrim coast is also home to the Giant’s Causeway, flanked by the wild North Atlantic Ocean and the landscape of dramatic cliffs, for centuries the Giant’s Causeway has inspired artists, stirred scientific debate and captured the imagination of all who see it.    Overnight            Derry/Londonderry City.

Day 4: A walk around the walls in Derry/Londonderry reveals a splendid city crammed full of history, heritage, interest and a vibrant cultural scene.   This is the only remaining completely walled city in Ireland and one of the finest examples of walled cities in Europe.   The Tower Museum is a must-see attraction whilst in Derry/Londonderry, permanent exhibits include the Story of Derry and An Armada Shipwreck – La Trinidad Valencera.    Overnight Derry/Londonderry.

Day 5: Travel south into the rolling hills of the Sperrins in County Tyrone, described by National Geographic as one of the world’s top driving routes.   The five mile drive through Gortin Glens Forest Park offers magnificent views, there are also a range of waymarked trails starting from the main car park.   The Ulster American Folk Park allows you to immerse yourself in the story of the brave emigrants who made the journey across the Atlantic to America hundreds of years ago.   Wander through the thatched cottages and log cabins and meet costumed characters who will show you traditional crafts, telling you a few stories and maybe even share a bit of their good food.   Overnight Omagh.

Day 6: If you have an interest in pre-history you will enjoy a visit to Beaghmore Stone Circles between Omagh and Cookstown.   Beaghmore consists of 7 stone circles, all of the rings are associated with cairns and a stone row runs towards the cairns.   Discovered during peat cutting in the 1940’s, it is possible that Neolithic occupation and cultivation preceded the erection of burial cairns and ceremonial circles.     Navan Centre & Fort is a place where myth and reality meet. It is one of Ireland’s most famous and important archaeological sites, the legendary Emain Macha. Legends say that Macha, the ancient goddess of war and fertility, scored the earth with her brooch pin and traced the famous outline of this sacred stronghold of the hero Cu Chulainn, home of the famous Red Branch Knights and Ulster Cycle of tales.   Overnight Newcastle.

Day 7: Down Cathedral, located in Downpatrick, is a Church of Ireland cathedral, it stands on the site of a Benedictine Monastery, built in 1183.   Saint Patrick’s remains are buried on the site.  The Saint Patrick Centre explores the legacy of Patrick, ancient and modern, and recalls the saint’s own           story, in his own words.   A series of interactive displays allow visitors to explore how Patrick's legacy developed in early Christian times and reveals the fabulous artwork and metalwork which was produced during this Golden Age.    Nearby Castle Ward featured as Winterfell in Game of Thrones, and fans will recognise Tollymore Forest Park as the woodland where Nightwalkers were spotted and the Direwolf pups were found.   Overnight Newcastle.
